What is the best thing about working at Shiseido and/or your current position?

The best thing about Shiseido is the fact that the organization cares about their people, both the employees and the customers. We are given the opportunity to be creative through programs like InVenT, I-con, and I-fair. Additionally, the quality of products matters greatly to management and consequently, the whole team works together to make sure we’re delivering high quality products to market. I love shopping with my gratis money for Shiseido’s high-end products.

Describe what you do.

I am an R&D chemist in the Innovation and sustainability group. Together with my team, we have formulated very novel products like the Shiseido make up VisionAiry Gel Lipstick, ColorGel LipBalm, Crystal GelGloss, NARS Oil-Infused Lip Tint and many more. I have lots of fun creating beautiful products to make our customers feel beautiful and confident.

What motivated you to choose to work at Shiseido and/or in your current position?

A very good friend of mine who used to work with me was hired at Shiseido. She always told me how great the company is and how happy she was with how much they care about their employees. She said I would enjoy it if I came to work with her. I submitted my resume and was called for an interview, and the rest is history.

How do you feel Shiseido is making a difference?

Shiseido is a very diverse company. Women and minorities are given leadership positions. We have company-wide volunteer programs to visit food banks, clean the ocean and aid in reforestation to name the few. I call Shiseido a company of inclusion and respect of the people.

What is the best thing about working at Shiseido and/or your current position?

For me, the best part of working at Shiseido has been the opportunity to collaborate with some of the most talented professionals in the industry. Alongside these incredible peers in creative, marketing, artistry, communications, and product development, we all come to the table with our different perspectives and experiences, working together to craft the future of this beautiful brand.

Describe what you do.

As the creative lead for global visual merchandising, my responsibility is to design and validate creative execution of all in-store visual merchandising and retail experiences for global Shiseido brand makeup products.

What motivated you to choose to work at Shiseido and/or in your current position?

I was motivated to join Shiseido because of the beauty of its brands and its core values. Shiseido has always had a reputation of being a company that put people first.

How do you feel Shiseido is making a difference?

What I love about Shiseido is that we embrace change and fearlessly take our chances at constantly reimagining our company, our brands, and the beauty industry itself. We may not always have everything figured out, but our passion drives us to keep pushing for better and challenging the status quo. Shiseido is unafraid of being present and a part of the conversations that impact our world today, encouraging us all to do our part in shaping tomorrow.

What is the best thing about working at Shiseido and/or your current position?

The people most importantly. I love all the amazing people that I get to work with on a regular basis. I feel like Shiseido is a family-oriented organization that always puts people first.

Describe what you do.

As a makeup artist at NARS, I get to travel all over the globe sharing and spreading the brand love with other artists and customers alike. I have the opportunity to work across various departments within our organization here in the New York Office, by lending my knowledge and insight from an artistry and consumer lens, by sharing my opinion on shade selections with Product Development, partnering with PR in support of major launches with top-tier creators or shooting how-to films with the Film and Photography team.

What motivated you to choose to work at Shiseido and/or in your current position?

NARS is what initially drew me to Shiseido. I love the artistry and fashion aspect behind the brand.

How do you feel Shiseido is making a difference?

Shiseido is making a difference by listening to their people and constantly making changes to improve. Shiseido is an organization that values its employees and promotes from within.
