Job Summary:

Responsible for leading sustainability projects as part of the Shiseido’s sustainability roadmap developing and executing projects to deliver all programs OTIF. Collaborates with all cross-functional team members involved in new product development process to ensure that all necessary learning, qualification, and execution activities of product changes required to meet sustainable products are completed in support of a successful implementation.

A Senior Manager is expected to manage a portfolio of sustainability projects.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead product required changes from project brief generation to execution, ensuring timing, quantity, cost and KPI targets are achieved
  • Lead all project meetings and coordinate the seamless integration between all Operational, R&D, Marketing & S&OP processes and functions involved in developing and phasing in required sustainability product changes
  • Lead COGS assessments at different stages of the project
  • Consistently challenge and reduce the development lead-times by ensuring appropriate balanced risks are built into the original time plans, while ensuring all COGs, quality and service requirements are achieved/exceeded

Working Relationships/Key Stakeholders:

  • Brand: Marketing, Product Development, Finance & Sales
  • Operations: Packaging Engineering, NPC-New Product Commercialization, S&OP, Quality, Production/Fillers (Internal & External), Procurement & Finance
  • AIC (R&D)

Qualifications & Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Related job experience, preferably for CPG industry or Beauty.
  • 7+ years project management experience
  • Work well with cross-functional teams and take a leadership role within the team.
  • MS Project and SAP experience required
  • Understanding of new product development processes & stage gate approach
  • Exposure to production environment & interaction of packaging, process, manufacturing
  • Able to quickly analyze data and information from different places and put it together into a project plan
  • Able to work independently in fast moving/changing environment
  • Must be organized and detail oriented
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Comfortable interfacing with all levels of management within Operations, R&D and Brand.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint software
