We are seeking enthusiastic interns for the Shiseido Hajimari Summer Internship program, a paid, full-time, 9-week experience from June 2nd to August 1st. Based in our New Jersey and New York offices, this program offers hands-on exposure to the full product life-cycle, from Marketing to Manufacturing, along with impactful projects, networking opportunities, and professional development workshops. What You’ll Do:

We are seeking a passionate, motivated and analytical Summer Intern to join our Consumer Insights and Marketing Intelligence (CIMI) team. As an intern, you will play a crucial role in helping the CIMI team drive the success of Shiseido Americas by bringing a richer and deeper understanding of consumer needs to reinforce customer-centric business strategies.

  • Assist the CIMI team with primary research needs, such as writing/programming surveys, analyzing consumer data, and creating presentations 
  • Drive engagement with our insights communities by helping design and analyze quick polls, surveys, and forums 
  • Learn industry consumer insights tools and research methodologies
  • Conduct competitor / trends analysis in the beauty space to support key initiatives
  • Help the team keep up-to-date with the latest trends and news in the beauty, luxury, and retail spaces 
  • Own and fully execute an insights trends project, including creating a research objective, identifying data sources, analyzing research, synthesizing the data into a cohesive story, and presenting the final insights to stakeholders 

Requirements:

  • Must be a rising Junior or Senior in college working towards a bachelor’s degree   
  • Effective communication skills, attention to detail, and highly organized  
  • Proactive with a self-starter mentality, eagerness to learn, and collaborative nature  
  • Flexible and able to function in a fast-paced, safety-first work environment  
  • Have a passion for cosmetics, the beauty industry, and keeping up-to-date with industry trends
