Job Summary:

Responsible for gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data related to material supply chains, inventory management, procurement trends, and supplier performance. Provide key data indicators that impact the decision-making processes and optimizing supply chain operations, ensuring timely availability of materials to support production and organizational goals.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage data integrity of all fields related to Planning parameters of Material Supply Planning department.
  • Identify trends, patterns, and discrepancies in material supply data to provide actionable insights.
  • Evaluate supplier performance metrics such as OTIF, Order Confirmation and Receiving compliance.
  • Monitor and optimize inventory levels to minimize carrying costs while ensuring adequate supply to meet demand fluctuations.
  • Prepare clear and concise reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to key stakeholders.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends, patterns, and discrepancies that contribute to excess inventory. Generate reports and insights to highlight areas of improvement.
  • Utilize data migration &analysis skills to develop and /or improve existing reports, driving efficiency and accuracy.
  • Build cross-functional relationships, communicating Supply Chain operational & analytical role in the organization.
  • Assist in implementing best purchasing processes at Shiseido Americas

Working Relationships/Key Stakeholders:

  • Material Supply Planning to understand demand forecasts, inventory levels, and supplier performance metrics.
  • Finance Department to monitor costs related to material procurement and inventory management.
  • Procurement to track supplier performance against agreed-upon metrics
  • Quality Assurance to ensure that materials procured meet quality standards and regulatory requirements

Financial Accountability:

  • Inventory Optimization: Develop strategies and models to optimize inventory levels across different locations and products. Implement techniques like ABC analysis, safety stock calculation, and reorder point optimization
  • Data Accuracy and Integrity: Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data analysis to detect any discrepancies or irregularities that could impact financial accountability.
  • Process Improvement: Using data-driven insights to identify opportunities for process improvement that can lead to cost efficiencies and better financial outcomes.

Qualifications & Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, Data Science, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in analytics, process or purchasing is highly desired and demonstrated ability to manage projects end to end.
  • SAP experience.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques, such as SQL, Excel, Python/R, and data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and draw meaningful conclusions.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
  • Ariba experience a plus
