JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for leading US Demand Planning activities for the Shiseido brand, including Finished Goods and POSM.

As a key contributor within the US S&OP function at Shiseido Americas, this role is responsible for driving continuous improvement of US demand planning processes across all US domestic business units and demand planning groups for Shiseido. The role ensures the demand plan is aligned with US business objectives and financial targets, while supporting key supply chain performance metrics including service, inventory, excess & obsolete reduction, and forecast accuracy.

This role works closely with US commercial teams, key retail partners, and E‑commerce to support effective demand consensus and execution through established and evolving demand planning processes.

The ideal candidate has experience leading demand planning teams and demonstrates strong people‑management and coaching skills to ensure responsibilities are appropriately segmented and aligned with the broader US demand consensus process. The role requires the ability to effectively leverage SAP IBP demand planning functionality or future system implementations to improve forecast accuracy and cross‑functional collaboration within the US and with global stakeholders.

The role requires direct experience creating innovation forecasts at granular SKU‑by‑retailer levels in monthly buckets, aligning and managing assumptions throughout the full launch lifecycle—from feasibility through shipment. This capability is a critical input into the new product development process for Shiseido in the US market.

Close collaboration with supply teams is essential to understand and communicate risks to future supply and to ensure risks are appropriately mitigated through the demand plan.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • You will prepare and review monthly saleable forecasts with related analysis for the US. The accuracy of the unit forecast has a direct impact on company inventory and customer service levels. Reconcile forecasted units to Gross Sales financial forecasts to ensure reasonableness.
  • You will work cross-functionally to understand qualitative information from Sales and Marketing, as it affects future unit forecasted demand, including follow-up of out of stocks with supply planning.
  • You will be responsible for Monthly Forecast Accuracy: report results and issue root cause on inaccuracies, ensuring go forward forecast reflects any results.
  • You will conduct regular business and performance reviews related to demand and supply of low stock skus with internal stakeholders.
  • You will lead the Excess & Obsolete (E&O) process to minimize inventory liabilities, drive root‑cause analysis, and support action planning and execution.
  • You will assist the Demand Planning Lead in preparing for the Monthly Consensus and Executive S&OP meetings with Marketing, Sales, Finance, and Sales Ops.
  • You will prepare and lead monthly US Demand Consensus meetings with Marketing, Sales, and Finance.
  • You will be responsible for new launches’ forecast preparation, working closely with Marketing and Sales.
  • You will help with other analyses and projects as needed.

WHO YOU ARE

  • You have a 4-year academic degree in relevant field or related job experience
  • You have a minimum of 4-5 years of demand planning experience in a supply chain role.
  • You are a competent user of computerized IT systems – Word, PowerPoint, Excel and other associated scheduling, forecasting software packages.
  • You have strong data management and analytic skills.
  • Prefer APICS exposure and CPIM certification.
  • You understand the end-to-end Supply Chain Functions and Linkage.
  • You have a positive attitude of commitment to job/projects.
  • You are enthusiastic, creative and a team player.
  • SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP) is a plus

If this sounds like you, we want you on our team.  Apply today and let's create something beautiful!
