JOB SUMMARY

The Facilities Technician assists Maintenance Technicians with light electrical, plumbing, carpentry repairs and assists with PM/repairs to conveyor systems and other power equipment.  Additionally, this role will assist with custodial duties as necessary.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • You will assist with Facilities work orders/PMs.
  • You will run and maintain a floor scrubber.
  • You will assist with maintenance functions, such as PM/repairs to conveyor systems and other power equipment.
  • You will be performing light electrical repairs, plumbing, and carpentry.
  • You will use and maintain assigned power equipment and hand tools.
  • You will use ladders when required in work assignments.
  • You will follow instructions regarding the use of chemicals and supplies.
  • You will perform external cleaning and related activities such as removing snow or debris from sidewalks using hand-operated tools or small power equipment.
  • You will assist with Custodial duties as needed.

WHO YOU ARE

  • You are required to have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • You are required to have at least 1 year of maintenance experience.
  • You are required to have effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • You are required to have computer skills (Microsoft word, and outlook).
  • You are required to be detail oriented.
  • You are required to work independently and stay on task with limited supervision.
  • You are required to meet strict deadlines on a regular basis.
  • You are required to multi-task and be able to demonstrate flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
  • You are required to be able to consistently climb, crouch, stand, and walk on a concrete floor for an 8-hour day.
  • You are required to be able to work at heights (40 ft and below).
  • You are required to run PIT equipment.

The hourly rate for this position may vary based on geographic location. Pay is based on several factors including knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to base pay, we may offer additional forms of compensation as part of a total compensation package, including a full range of benefits.
