JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Human Resources, the Associate Manager serves as the sole on-site HR representative and supports the Distribution facility. This is a full-cycle HR role, responsible for the primary elements of the employee life cycle, from talent acquisition and onboarding through development, mobility, compliance, engagement, employee relations, performance management, L&D and offboarding. The Associate Manager will work closely with the People Services Departments (Payroll, Compensation, Benefits, HRIS, and Learning) and other HRBPs to deliver timely solutions and consistent employee experience.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- You will act as the first point of contact for the HR team, partnering with business leaders to encourage a People First culture, clear communication, and prompt issue resolution.
- You will work in close collaboration with the Senior Manager, Human Resources on day-to-day site priorities, projects, employee relations issues and engagement initiatives aligned to global and regional HR and supply network objectives.
- You will partner with managers and supervisors on employee relations matters and work closely with Senior Manager, Human Resources, to determine the appropriate timely resolution.
- You will investigate concerns, evaluate options, and make recommendation to resolve employee issues and complaints.
- You will support full-cycle recruiting for hourly roles and select professional positions, including sourcing and screening candidates, coordinating interviews, and supporting offer and pre-employment screening processes.
- You will facilitate onboarding, including New Hire Orientation, completion of required paperwork (including drug testing and I-9), and 30-60-90-day check-ins.
- You will support the Corporate Talent Acquisition team with onboarding and executing key activities related to the Hajimari Summer Internship Program.
- You will work in strong partnership with HR colleagues in New Jersey and New York on strategic initiatives, offering meaningful insights and contributions.
- You will promote a value-enhancing culture and actively support the diversity, equity, and inclusion roadmap.
- You will collaborate with the facility managers, supervisors and employees on supply chain process improvement initiatives, including Lean Six Sigma.
- You will update and monitor HR dashboards to deliver real-time workforce analytics and insights.
- You will assist with implementing corporate compliance requirements and local HR policies and procedures.
- You will maintain awareness of employment law developments and changes in applicable regulations.
- You will complete other duties and special projects as assigned.
WHO YOU ARE
- You have a bachelor’s degree/Advanced degree and/or a Human Resources certification preferred (e.g., SHRM). Lean Six Sigma certification is desired but not required.
- You possess impeccable integrity, transparency, and willingness to both give and receive candid feedback are vital for enhancing leadership capabilities and driving business performance.
- You have strong interpersonal, communications listening and consultative skills (verbal and written).
- You can handle complex, sensitive, and confidential situations.
- You are a highly motivated, organized, self-starting individual who is comfortable being the only HR presence on site and resourceful in building strong partnerships with People Services and HRBP teams to get things done.
- You can manage multiple work streams simultaneously, balancing day-to-day priorities with longer-term initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
- You are comfortable with shifting priorities and rapid changes.
- You have strong business acumen and ability to understand business issues and implications is a must.
- You have strong analytics and problem-solving skills.
- You have knowledge of supply chain (logistics and/or warehouse operations).
- You can interact efficiently across all organizational levels.
- You have proficiency in the MS Office Suite is expected, with advanced capability in Excel and PowerPoint; proficiency in TEAMS is highly valued.
- You have experience utilizing Success Factors or comparable HRIS platforms for transaction processing and data management is required.

The base pay for this position may vary based on geographic location. Actual base pay offered will be based on several factors including job-specific knowledge, education, skills, and depth of experience. In addition to base pay, we may offer additional forms of compensation as components of a total compensation package, including participation in our bonus program which features the ability to overachieve, in addition to a full range of competitive benefits.
