JOB SUMMARY
The Production Line Leader is responsible for adhering to all safety, quality, GMP and departmental requirements while producing a quality finished good. This role is responsible for training and supervising assemblers, material handlers, and machine operators on their assembly line.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- You will perform all duties in accordance with company and site-specific safety policies and procedures.
- You will be accountable for setting and operating filling and assembly lines.
- You will be responsible for ensuring correct components have been set on the production line by verifying all component labels against the bill of material.
- You will be responsible for providing training, instruction and monitoring of the Assemblers and Material Handler assigned to the line to ensure that safety, quality and productivity objectives are met.
- You will be responsible for reading and following all quality specifications including completing and documenting hourly quality surveillance checks.
- You will communicate all safety, ergonomic, quality, productivity and mechanical issues to the Supervisors in a timely manner.
- You will complete all required record keeping and paperwork completely, accurately and on time.
- You will process transactions to enter inventory through system software.
- You will be responsible for meeting efficiency goals including ensuring accurate line staffing and monitoring line speeds versus standards.
- You will be responsible for ensuring proper line clearance and verification of proper components on the line versus the bill of material.
- You will be responsible for communicating any carry-overs between production orders to Checkpoint to perform the necessary transactions.
- You will accurately record Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) data.
- You will actively work with the team to maintain a 6S workplace.
- You will carry out other duties to be performed as required by Production Management.
- You will follow all company Safety and GMP policies.
- You will comply with all OSHA and FDA regulations.
- You will support departmental and organizational goals and objectives

The hourly rate for this position may vary based on geographic location. Pay is based on several factors including knowledge, education, skills, and experience. In addition to base pay, we may offer additional forms of compensation as part of a total compensation package, including a discretionary annual bonus in addition to a full range of benefits.
