JOB SUMMARY
Planner will be responsible for handling the activities to deliver the forecast for the assigned brand category, NARS Point of Sale Materials. Participate in monthly Demand Review meetings to ensure the stakeholder organization and head of S&OP are aligned and can sign off on a region level demand prior to demand submission. This role is highly collaborative and will require working closely in tight communications with the following teams, via ad-hoc and weekly/ monthly project and status reviews; Brand Global Marketing, US Finance, Operations and S&OP cross-functional teams, Domestic Sales and Marketing Teams. Accountable for monthly KPI targets including Forecast Accuracy and Forecast Bias and reviewing monthly root cause analyses to report back to the business monthly and identify corrective action.
Primary duties & responsibilities:
- You will collect, compile, and evaluate monthly, quarterly, and yearly forecasts related to POSM (point-of-sales materials). This includes various aspects such as samples, testers, tester godet, visual merchandising, and collateral. It is crucial to ensure the accuracy of the unit forecast as it directly impacts the company’s inventory, financials, and customer service levels. You will also need to reconcile the forecasted values with actual values to confirm their rationality and avoid any E&O (excess/obsolete)
- You will gather qualitative information from the global affiliate market, as it influences the future demand for the anticipated production/supply. This includes following up on increased/decreased demand and sharing the rationale behind the changes
- You will manage the potential obsolescence to minimize inventory liabilities and drive Root Cause Problem Solving and action planning/execution to reduce E&O
- You will assist the DP Lead in preparing for the Monthly Consensus and Executive S&OP meetings with Marketing, Sales, Finance, and Sales Ops.
- You will assist the DP Lead in managing the brand.com business and planning operation
- You will prepare and be part of the monthly Pre-Consensus meetings with the international market
- You will attend weekly and monthly meetings as needed – VM, Monthly international S&O meetings, affiliate regional meetings
- You will partner with the Visual Merchandising team on seasonal updates / new door opening / replenishment VM forecast preparation
- You will manage the US Bundles process; partner with the US Sales Team, Supply & Assembly team to ensure that Bundles are created in time
- You will help with other analyses and projects as needed
- You will prepare and publish monthly POSM demand changes report for US and International
- You will prepare and Publish POSM report for International with inventory OH, availability
- You will support NPD for new sampling program
- You will review and reconcile Forecast Actuals vs. Plan
- You will request VM forecast to affiliates, consolidates forecast and share with procurement and VM team.
- You will update monthly VM allocations
Qualifications & competencies:
- 4-year academic degree in relevant field or related job experience
- 1 year of demand planning experience in a supply chain role
- You are a competent user of computerized IT systems – Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, and other forecasting software
- You have advanced Excel skills
- You have strong data management, reporting and analytic skills.
- You understand the end-to-end Supply Chain Functions and Linkage
- You have a positive attitude of commitment to job/projects.
- You can manage multitask, managing several projects at once
- You are enthusiastic, creative and a team player.
- SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP) is a plus

The base pay for this position may vary based on geographic location. Actual base pay offered will be based on several factors including job-specific knowledge, education, skills, and depth of experience. In addition to base pay, we may offer additional forms of compensation as components of a total compensation package, including participation in our bonus program which features the ability to overachieve, in addition to a full range of competitive benefits.
