JOB SUMMARY

The Training and Events Manager will be part of the U.S. Commercial Training and Events team. This strategic and creative leader will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing impactful training programs and retail event experiences that elevate brand presence, drive client acquisition, and deliver measurable business results across the U.S. retail landscape for Shiseido Americas Brands: Shiseido, Cle de Peau, Fragrances, NARS, Dr. Dennis Gross and Drunk Elephant and Hermes.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • You will serve as a liaison with major U.S. retail partners (Sephora, Ulta, Nordstrom, Saks Global, and specialty accounts) to oversee end-to-end planning, execution, and ROI measurement for in-store activations, masterclasses, and large-scale events to support US leadership.
  • You will monitor industry trends, competitor activations, and emerging event technologies to keep our strategies innovative and competitive.
  • You will partner closely with the U.S. Director of Training, Training Executives, and Sales & Training Executives to ensure all initiatives align with brand objectives and long-term growth goals.
  • You will act as a point of contact for internal teams and external retail partners, managing touchpoints and scheduling calls to maintain seamless communication.
  • You will own the full lifecycle of events, including event data, calendar management, run-of-show development, retailer request submissions, collateral coordination, GWPs, shipping, and digital asset organization.
  • You will develop comprehensive field training guides detailing concepts, consumer journey, service standards, and execution that create best practices and consistency for the Field team.
  • You will lead post-event analysis, capturing wins, learnings, and strategic recommendations to optimize future activations.
  • You will assist the Director in planning and executing internal events such as sales meetings, retailer meetings, and planning sessions.
  • You will ensure hero/key sku’s, and new launch, are at the forefront of event strategies for the Retailer populations

WHO YOU ARE

  • You must have the ability to travel 50% of the time
  • You have 6+ years of proven experience in event management, preferably within beauty, luxury, or retail.
  • You have prior experience working with major U.S. retailers (Sephora, Ulta, department stores).
  • You have advanced proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with Eventbrite, Concur, and social media tools is a plus.
  • You have exceptional organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and build strong stakeholder relationships.
  • You have the willingness to travel across North America to support events.
  • You have the availability for a Tuesday–Saturday schedule with in-store presence as needed.
  • You are savvy in competitor environments and open-selling environments
  • You have effective planning, organizational, and time management skills
  • You can interact with all levels of management in a fast-paced, high growth environment
  • You can work collaboratively and build positive/effective business relationships
  • You have a valid Driver’s License
  • You have excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships and navigate multiple teams.
  • You are self-motivated and positive, aligning and engaging with the organization’s visions.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule (typical work schedule is Tuesday through Saturday), including weekends and holidays, to meet team objectives.

The base pay for this position may vary based on geographic location. Actual base pay offered will be based on several factors including job-specific knowledge, education, skills, and depth of experience. In addition to base pay, we may offer additional forms of compensation as components of a total compensation package, including participation in our bonus program which features the ability to overachieve, in addition to a full range of competitive benefits.

$93,480 - $140,220/ year
