The Shiseido Summer Internship program is a paid, full time 9-week program for college rising Juniors or Seniors starting June 2^nd through August 1st. We are committed to your professional development so during your time here, you can expect to participate in meaningful projects, networking, professional development workshops, speaker series, volunteer activities, and you will also have the opportunity to connect with your global peers across the world!  

About our NARS Global Visual Merchandising Team:

Join the Global Visual Merchandising, Store Design, and Events team, gaining an inside look into how NARS translates its brand codes and product launches into physical environments for our consumers.  The intern position will be responsible for supporting the Global VMSD team in the design development, and implementation of NARS store design, visual merchandising, and events.  The Global VMSD team works closely with Global Marketing, Global Creative, Global Product Development, and International Marketing partners- helping to bring a key pillar of the 360 degree consumer experience to life.  We also work closely with a number of vendors who lead the industry in materializing designs and bringing the brand’s vision to life.

What You’ll Do:

• Create images and renderings of store designs, visual merchandising, and events.
• Prepare presentations for internal and retailer meetings
• Support in developing library of standards for Global VMSD Team and maintain image library of all completed projects
• Research competitive landscape and notable designs
• Develop a comprehensive understanding of existing Global design & Visual Merchandising concepts (macro and micro) and apply them to innovation proposals
• Effective collaboration with VMSD team members and internal partners
• Independent brand research through provided resources

Requirements:

• Must be a rising Junior or Senior in college working towards a bachelor’s degree
• Currently pursuing a degree in architecture or related field of spatial design
• Proficient in Sketchup, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Suite
• Basic knowledge of Vectorworks
• Should have basic production knowledge for physical projects, including materials, manufacturing, and installation
• Effective communication skills (English), attention to detail, and highly organized 
• Ability to multitask, and prioritize to support business needs
• Proactive, energetic, self-motivated, and results-oriented 
• Flexible and able to function in a fast-paced, dynamic, safety-first work environment 
• Have a passion for the beauty industry and consistently keeping up to date with global beauty trends
• Able to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Maintain a high standard of design in support of brand image and DNA
