JOB SUMMARY

Shiseido Americas seeks a full-time Associate Manager, Events to support the corporate Events team for Shiseido, Clé de Peau Beauté, Issey Miyake, Narciso Rodriguez, Tory Burch & Hermès in the U.S. Key duties include maintaining the Event Roster in Smartsheet, coordinating with the creative team on event tools, supporting event strategy with the Director of Events and Education, compiling monthly event recaps and analyses, and managing calendars for CMUA talent, and partnering with Training Team for talent for Events. The role also involves collaborating with internal teams—Education, Marketing, Sales, Creative, Global Brand Holders, Sales Ops, Retailers, Forecasting, and Field Executives—to ensure effective execution of Events initiatives.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • You will manage the Smartsheet Event Roster, event talent calendar, and Training Executive, coordinating with the Director of Training to schedule events.
  • You will provide support for analysis of event and animation recaps to monitor event outcomes and evaluate ROI and key performance indicators for continued improvement of practices and results.
  • You will ship, and track POSM and event material to ensure accurate and timely delivery.
  • You will work with internal and external creative agencies as well as procurement to source and develop seasonal event tools and programs for multiple brands.
  • You will assist with the management of the event talent calendar and Training Executive, by maintaining alignment with the Director US of Training for TE availability.
  • You will support Field Executives in the U.S. market across Specialty, Department Stores, and Open-sell retailers, maintain consistency in objectives, methodologies, and practices.
  • You will coordinate with Education, Event, and Sales Operations personnel to ensure monthly shipments of event collateral, bonuses, and training materials are punctual.
  • You will plan and moderate digital events as required.
  • You will collaborate closely with the Director, US Events & Education, and brand marketing teams to understand business drivers and event concepts for each season. Align with US Education teams on service activities during events.
  • You will support the Director, US Events and Education by developing protocols and guidelines for events. Create event themes for department stores, specialty stores, and open sell retailers. Guidelines include planning templates, event activities, set-up instructions, target consumer information, collateral and POSM support, appointment setting, and sales targets. Distribute these guidelines to meet department store expectations and objectives.
  • You will manage and support a direct report, the Events Coordinator.

Accountabilities

  • You will be managing projects to develop, execute, and complete assignments
  • You have exceptional attention to detail and time management skills
  • You will assist in the creation of education and event materials (presentations, collateral, videos, etc) as needed.
  • You will give conference and Sales Meeting support as needed.
  • You will execute necessary elements to complete projects as needed by Director of Events & Education

WHO YOU ARE

  • You have a BS Degree in relevant field
  • You have a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in beauty experience preferred
  • You are extremely organized and detail-oriented.  Strong planning & administration skills
  • You have professional & effective communication and follow-up skills
  • You have expertise in written and verbal communication
  • You have expert skills in Excel, Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, BOX, Zoom
  • You are a team player with strong partnership skills and ability to develop rapport with many departments and levels.
  • You have the agility, initiative and flexibility to manage several projects at any given time and respond to business needs.
  • You have strong follow-up skills and ability to take ownership of deadlines and project completion.
  • You have strong relationship-building skills with internal and external partners.
  • You have strong planning, administration, negotiation, and organizational skills
  • You have flexibility related to work hours

The base pay for this position may vary based on geographic location. Actual base pay offered will be based on several factors including job-specific knowledge, education, skills, and depth of experience. In addition to base pay, we may offer additional forms of compensation as components of a total compensation package, including participation in our bonus program which features the ability to overachieve, in addition to a full range of competitive benefits.
