JOB SUMMARY

Analyzes released production orders to build optimal assembly production schedules based on availability, urgency, and capacity.  Modifies labor capacity based on a rolling 8-week outlook of labor demand and supply to stabilize workforce while adjusting to demand seasonality.

Additionally, this role entails oversight of all pre-production processes to enable efficient fulfillment and avoid work stoppages by Assembly production operations. Processes include order allocation, component freshness review, component picking and reconciliation, order preparation, first piece sample building, and order issue resolution.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • You will analyze SAP-generated COOIS report from Assembly Planning to organize unfulfilled demand into weekly production periods in accordance with labor strategy and/or capacity constraints.
  • You will validate production orders are physically and systemically supportable.
  • You will segment orders based on competing priorities and capacity constraints.
  • You will create weekly assembly production schedules based on labor capacity, line capacity, component availability, and order need by dates via the SAP PPDS Scheduling Tool.
  • You will generate resulting weekly pick lists of scheduled orders and allocates and prioritizes WMS’ picking queue accordingly.
  • You will order temporary headcount weekly in support of the immediate schedule and in accordance with the dynamic labor strategy.
  • You will support weekly Demand Planning call with Assembly Planning and key stakeholders to review current week’s progress and upcoming scheduling concerns.
  • You will coordinate with DC peers on inventory movements needed to enable allocation.
  • You will support the process of identifying and authorizing orders for outsourced fulfillment.
  • You will oversee the material handling group’s execution of component picking of allocated production orders.
  • You will oversee the preparation of scheduled production orders’ administrative materials.
  • You will facilitate the production and validation of each order’s first sample.
  • You will pursue resolution to any scheduled production order placed on hold.
  • You will assist in management of inventory levels for non-SKU’d production materials.
  • You will manage the audit process of picked componentry.
  • You will build collaborative working relationships with the following stakeholders:
    • Assembly Planning (Corporate)
    • S&OP/Finished Good Planning (Corporate)
    • New Product Development (Corporate)
    • Assembly Production Operations (ADC)
    • Inbound Operations (ADC)
    • Quality Control (ADC)
    • Inventory Control (ADC)

WHO YOU ARE

  • You have Assembly Operation working knowledge, or equivalent experience.
  • You are Customer Service experience (or equivalent service-oriented experience)
  • You have Blue Yonder WMS working knowledge, including transactional & inventory research.
  • SAP PPDS or other scheduling software familiarity required.
  • Apriso MES working knowledge a plus.
  • You are proficient in MS Office suite.
  • You have broad-based familiarity with DC inventory flows/processes.
  • You have experience in a continuous improvement, lean methodology work environment, including Six Sigma belt certification.
  • You have a bachelor’s degree in business administration, or comparable education a plus.
  • You are Certified in Production & Inventory Management (CPIM), or other comparable certification a plus.

The base pay for this position may vary based on geographic location. Actual base pay offered will be based on several factors including job-specific knowledge, education, skills, and depth of experience. In addition to base pay, we may offer additional forms of compensation as components of a total compensation package, including participation in our bonus program which features the ability to overachieve, in addition to a full range of competitive benefits.
