JOB SUMMARY
The Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ), Senior Manager, leads the day-to-day operations of FTZ. The Senior Manager oversees all aspects of operating a zone including sourcing, receiving, inventory control, order processing, as well as domestic and export shipping. The Senior Manager will play a critical role in developing a highly performing team with strong FTZ expertise.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- You will lead, manage and develop a team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment to achieve department and organization goals.
- You will oversee daily admissions into FTZ (CF214).
- You will lead the identification and resolution of any inventory issues in a prompt and timely manner.
- You will manage the timely updates to FTZ files and retain FTZ records as required by law and regulations.
- You will assure accurate weekly Customs entry (CF3461/7501).
- You will manage exports from the FTZ (CF7512).
- You will manage zone-to-zone transfers.
- You will provide quarterly Harbor Maintenance Fee payments.
- You will perform internal audits of Zone operations and reports results to management.
- You will oversee the reconciliation of inventory records between commercial and FTZ systems.
- You will provide periodic FTZ reports (Yearly Blanket CBP form 216, Annual Reconciliation, Certification Letter, FTZ Board Report, etc.).
- You will be the primary point of contact for other functional areas across the organization to ensure the information systems are properly maintained, updated, and accurate for FTZ reporting and compliance purposes. Provide guidance to DC personnel on export procedures and required documentation.
- You will be responsible for updating and maintaining the Operations Manual and exhibits.
- You will be responsible for the maintenance of an audit system to verify compliance at the site.
- You will be responsible for monitoring the savings associated with the FTZ operations.
WHO YOU ARE
- You have knowledge and understanding or are obtaining training and education in the Foreign-Trade Zones Board regulations, and the Customs regulations, and how these apply to and impact the FTZ operations.
- You have a minimum of 5 years of Customs experience; FTZ administration experience and/or a Licensed Customs Broker desirable.
- You have an bachelor’s degree.
- You have successfully led and managed a team.
- You have a strong ability to influence.
- You have a strong attention to detail and an ability to see the “big picture.”
- You can navigate ambiguity and change.
- You have experience developing and monitoring the use of appropriate KPIs to measure and improve the effectiveness of FTZ.
- You understand distribution, transportation, warehousing, and manufacturing.
- You have a process improvement mindset.
- You have strong analytical and critical thinking skills, effectively identifying issues and implementing innovative solutions.
- You meet deadlines, ensuring high-quality results and reliability.
- You can effectively manage and prioritize you and your team’s tasks to achieve goals.
- You are collaborative and a team player.
Please note: Continued employment in this FTZ role is contingent upon you submitting and receiving approval from the Department of Homeland Security, US Customs and Border Protection, the Application for Identification Card [19-CFR 146.6] and signing a privacy act waiver which authorizes release of information to Shiseido Americas should the Customs and Border Protection agency conclude a negative finding about you in the application process.

The base pay for this position may vary based on geographic location. Actual base pay offered will be based on several factors including job-specific knowledge, education, skills, and depth of experience. In addition to base pay, we may offer additional forms of compensation as components of a total compensation package, including participation in our bonus program which features the ability to overachieve, in addition to a full range of competitive benefits.
