JOB SUMMARY

The Production Supervisor is a member of the Production Team and is responsible for the safe, timely and efficient execution of the production schedule while meeting all quality objectives and conforming to all GMP requirements. Responsible for the daily activities of all direct Production personnel, ensuring that all operations are carried out efficiently, without compromising safety or quality.      

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • You will be responsible for implementing the daily production schedule and priorities in reviewing with the planning department, and identification and resolution of bottlenecks.
  • You will ensure the daily schedule is executed without any compromise to safety or quality.
  • You will monitor, enforce, and model all safety, quality and GMP policies.
  • You will be responsible for allocating and deploying resources, monitoring efficiency, identifying and implementing improvement plans.
  • You will complete end of shift reporting and determine cause and solution for under-performance.
  • You will identify and implement training needs for new employees.
  • You will investigate and resolve quality issues, process deviations, and implement corrective actions.
  • You will assist in the development and implementation of new department initiatives (5S, OEE, Kaizen).
  • You will monitor and manage PTO, time and attendance compliance, and payroll/timekeeping
  • You will conduct Gemba walks with a continuous improvement mindset; hourly review of Gemba boards to assess progress against target- wins and failures.
  • You will assess operation for process compliance; identify, document and replicate best practices across production operations
  • You will professionally deliver team and individual coaching, performance and disciplinary actions.
  • You will be actively engaged on the production floor 90% of your shift with a focus on safety, quality, efficiency, documentation, audits, GMP, 5S, and process discipline.

WHO YOU ARE

  • You have a bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations management, or industrial management (preferred, not required)
  • You have 3+ years of experience in Production operation in Cosmetics, Pharmaceuticals, Chemicals or Consumer Goods companies, with leadership experience
  • You have knowledge of filling and assembly processes and high-speed machines
  • You can interpret process documentation and develop full-scale processes
  • You understand GMP manufacturing
  • You demonstrate problem solving skills in addition to strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • You can effectively lead others in achieving shared goals and assignments
  • You can follow through on assignments and complete them in a timely and competent manner
  • You can communicate in English, both verbally and in writing
  • You can write routine reports and correspondence
  • You have experience with TPM Management System (Total Productivity Management) and Lean Management
  • You are bilingual (Spanish language preferred) or can effectively manage a population that may not speak fluent English
  • You can hold difficult coaching conversations
  • You can work overtime as needed
