JOB SUMMARY
The Manager, EHS&S is responsible for managing elements of the environmental, health, and safety programs within the MFG facility. The position will provide professional knowledge and technical expertise in administration and support around regulatory compliance, permitting, policy and program development and training. Specific emphasis will be placed on implementing programs that improve employee safety in the facility to world class standards, guiding and aligning with corporate EHS-related objectives and supporting execution of EHS-related initiatives. Developing and implementing plant EHS management systems and maintenance of applicable certifications of such systems (e.g., ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, ISO 45001, etc.)
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- You will inspect the facility to identify safety, health, and environmental risks.
- You will develop and implement inspection policies and procedures, and a schedule of routine inspections.
- You will develop Job Safety/Job Hazard Analyses (JSA/JHA.)
- You will develop health and safety procedures for all areas of the company in concert with OSHA and Global HQ requirements.
- You will prepare and schedule training to cover emergency procedures, workplace safety, and other relevant topics.
- You will monitor compliance with safety procedures.
- You will draft inspection reports to document inspection findings.
- You will ensure that material safety data sheets are maintained and readily accessible when needed.
- You will maintain records of discharge of employee exposure to hazardous waste and/or pollutants, as required.
- You will work closely with all departments and levels of management within the MFG facility, Distribution center, and corporate offices as well as agency workers.
- You will perform EHS&S KPI Data Entry.
- You will perform other related duties as assigned.
- You must be able to perform all duties in accordance with company and site-specific safety policies and procedures.
WHO YOU ARE
- You have a bachelor’s degree in technical discipline: Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health, Toxicology, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Environment, Health and Safety, Chemistry, Biology, or appropriate science related field.
- You have advanced certification, additional specialized safety education or equivalent work experience.
- You have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the environmental, health and safety discipline with a strong focus on safety required.
- You have at least 5 years working in a manufacturing environment as a safety professional.
- You have a Professional Safety Certification.
- You are experienced in cosmetic, chemical or pharmaceutical industry.
- You have experience with ISO 45001.

The base pay for this position may vary based on geographic location. Actual base pay offered will be based on several factors including job-specific knowledge, education, skills, and depth of experience. In addition to base pay, we may offer additional forms of compensation as components of a total compensation package, including participation in our bonus program which features the ability to overachieve, in addition to a full range of competitive benefits.
