Job Summary
The Training Executive’s key responsibility is the professional development, education and motivation of Shiseido and Cle de Peau Beaute Beauty Consultants, Store Owners, and Specialists; related store and sales counter support personnel, and regional personnel. The Training Executive is responsible for the overall execution of training and education programs to achieve performance and sales objectives as well as standards in the retail environment. The Training Executive contributes to the development of core training programs for education in Shiseido culture, philosophy, products knowledge, and technique and business standards. They will work with the Training, Sales and Marketing teams.
Essential Job Duties
  • Training and Education Development
    • Market Trainers, Store Owners, Beauty Consultants and Sales Team.
    • Develop the training agenda and programs for all new hires with SIS RSE.
    • Train and coach Beauty Consultants to use counter tools to increase their productivity and customer service skills.
      • Assesses progress and eligibility for seminar attendance. 
      • Works with new and experienced Beauty Consultants (in-store/ OJT) on developing Beauty Method skills, product knowledge, service skills, and customer development skills, product merchandising, and counter maintenance. 
      • Follows up with BC to measure materials covered in Business Building Seminars, National Training Conference and Seasonal Modules. 
      • Conducts Seasonal Training Seminars and works with owners to develop strategies, set goals and refine business and customer skills.
    • Maintain field team communication with all on Beauty Consultant training, follow up, and progress. 
      • When and where possible, conducts training modules with and for all qualified Beauty Consultants.  Works with Market Trainers to develop training strategies for all accounts.  Puts individual skills into action at counter to teach by example.
    • Train and Certify Beauty Consultants in Makeup, Facial Services, and Sun
    • Challenge Store Owners and Beauty Consultants to grow in their positions by teaching new skills, and developing current/new customers relationships. 
    • Recognizes achievements and assists in areas of opportunity.
    • Attends National Training Conferences (two per year/minimum) to learn new product information and seasonal direction from training, sales and marketing. Will share conference notes, strategies and programs with SIS Director and plan the roll out to team.
  • Relationship Development
    • Maintains close communication with Sales team, Store owners and Beauty Consultants and Training Department developing a strong business partnership.
    • Strengthen and build existing relationship and brand goodwill with Retail Store Owners  
  • Events
    • Implement events as lead makeup artist and/or facial service expert to lead by example for Retail Owners and Beauty Consultants and retain loyal customers and reach new customers
    • Participate in PR Functions & Events.
    • Achieve Sales Goals
    • Plan and execute customer development and service events.
    • Assist in major events and new store openings when needed.
    • Assists in developing seasonal marketing and sales promotion calendar
  • By door - utilizes/manages/maximizes use of marketing and sales promotion seasonal resources such as samples, value sets, promotional sets, and collateral materials. 
  • Report on sales and training results  
  • Maintain Shiseido image, presentation and counter tools and hygiene standards
Additional Responsibilities
  • Develop brand’s standards and awareness with Store Owners.
  • Partner and lead sales in retail presentations, education and sales development.
  • Achieve business objectives with skills and ability to operate in a multilingual and multicultural business environment.
  • Responsible for managing travel and expense budget.
  • Bilingual (English and Chinese/Japanese/Korean/Vietnamese)
  • Must possess strong organization, prioritization and analytical skills with a proven ability to multi-task and manage complexity.
  • Successful, equivalent experience in sales/training with competitive company, retailer.
  • Highly skilled at communication and presentation skills.
  • Leadership abilities.
  • Experience, expertise and authority in counter sales, customer service as well as customer development
  • Computer Skills (Microsoft Office)
  • Willing to travel
  • 4 year College degree required                                                          
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers and the general public
