Senior Account Manager

JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Key Account Manager collaborates and strategizes with their external retail partners to increase sales, achieve company objectives, build and develop strong teams, execute flawless events and maintain excellent working relationships. The Senior Key Account Manager’s goal is to develop, manage and execute channel sell-in strategies, in order to build overall brand awareness, meet/exceed sales plans, and achieve long-term growth and profitability.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Owns revenue tracking process, including retail sales, gross sales and net sales. Manage on a weekly basis and collaborate with the VP National Accounts on annual financial forecasts.
  • Directly manages sell in orders.  Full accountability for achieving Net Sales Goals
  • Collaborates with Channel Marketing to create innovative and compelling promotions that drive conversion and sales
  • Collaborates with Retailer.com team to ensure optimum placement and sales on retailer dotcom sites.
  • Coordinates with Planning function on purchasing, forecasting, and inventory management efforts to ensure that product data, pricing, and promotions are accurate, timely, and complete
  • Work with Wholesale field team to ensure seamless brand communication in retailer B&M and to drive sales
  • Maintains responsibility for the channel P&L statement – works with Finance to ensure it is accurate and within budget.
  • Leads alignment of cross functional cross channel merchandising and promotion strategies
  • Develops strong relationships with retailers and leverages these relationships for our mutual interests
  • Develops and executes long term and seasonal performance plans and strategies for merchandising
  • Works cross functionally with the Visual Merchandising Team on space planning and merchandising
  • Collaborates internally and externally to ensure space productivity benchmarks are being achieved
  • Analyzes weekly sales and inventory reports through making appropriate changes to capture opportunities and maximize inventory turns working closely with the National Accounts Planner
  • Communicates key learnings internally to all sales channels
  • Manages promotional calendars and develops implementation plans to execute new promotions
  • Serves as a “proxy” for Director, attending & contributing to both retailer and internal meetings as needed
  • Provide competitive insights that may impact business or create opportunities

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in key account management/wholesale sales or equivalent experience
  • Ability to manage business in an entrepreneurial manner and demonstrate independent decision-making ability
  • Exceptional analytical skills and ability to generate and evaluate various forecasts, metrics, and analyses
  • A general curiosity around consumer shopping behavior and a desire to use analysis to generate new insights to it
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking abilities
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Project management and implementation experience
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Demonstrated ability to accept change and be a proponent of change in meeting customers’ needs as well as in business change
  • Ability to deliver desired sales, gross profits and expense controls
  • Must be able to perform essential functions (with or without an accommodation) without posing a "direct threat" to the health and safety to self or others
