Senior Manager, Marketing (BPG - Fragrance)

Job Summary:

This position contributes to the achievement of gross & retail sales for the brands via the annual business plan development, marketing strategies, and seasonal programs. 

This position is charged with activating the relevant support levers to grow the brand in all channels of distribution.

The Senior Marketing Manager owns communication and relationship with Domestic Teams (sales, operations, finance, supply chain, training) & Key Retailers to drive integrated alignment and execution of all US brand initiatives.

The Senior Marketing Manager contributes to the achievement of sales and financial plans for the brand via the annual business plan development, marketing strategies, and seasonal programming. 

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Identification and implementation of a US specific brand strategy and annual brand plan.  Propose innovative ways to reach and recruit new consumers.
  • Identify short and long term opportunities through competitive analysis/industry studies.  Create strategies and proposals to exploit opportunities.
  • Influence and support global market strategies by providing data and context that illustrates the needs and opportunities of the local marketplace. Provide feedback on global proposals to strengthen initiatives, and identify white space. 

Working Relationships/Key Stakeholders:

  • Full ownership of relationship with sales ops, forecasting, supply chain, sales admin and training.
  • Brand ambassador of the brand with our retail partners, Cultivate relationships with sales teams to deepen understanding of retailer opportunities and maximize brand exposure and sales growth.
  • Daily relationship with Brand holder, fueling them with competitive examples to ensure they deliver what is needed to drive our business in the US.

Financial Accountability

  • Make recommendations to shift investment strategies amongst A&P lines as needed to secure growth and maximize opportunities.  Ensure efficient & optimal use of brand investments to reach annual brand goals.
  • Partner with Operations/Finance to conduct ROI on investments and employ learnings to improve future plans and programs, at the retailer level.
  • Ensure excess and obsolete is within set goals, and proactively propose some solutions and alternatives to decrease if needed.

Qualifications & Competencies:

  • Ten years of work experience, preferably in high-end luxury arena with extensive knowledge of the US fragrance environment.
  • Strong organizational, project management & leadership skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and strategic brand development skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate creative and strategic thinking
  • Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills.
