Manager, Retailer.com (NARS)

Job Summary:

The Manager of Retailer.com, will be responsible for managing and driving sales goals for NARS Cosmetics across the Retailer.com sites, plus provide on-going strategic guidance, development support, and business best practices for the Retailer.com channel. This role will work strategically along-side the NARS US team (Sales & Marketing) to support and deliver the sales targets and new business initiatives. This role will also contribute and participate in the brand’s regional retail strategy & planning meetings, partner with Digital Media on developing synergies in digital marketing programs and go-to-market plans for new launches, and regularly perform analysis to drive the business.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Drive growth for retailer.com channel business and manage relationship with online retailer partners (i.e. Sephora, Ulta, Nordstrom, etc.)
  • Identify opportunities to build business and drive Retailer.com to achieve sales and brand goals
  • Advocate for best-in-class online content needs with US and global marketing teams, liaise with Digital Media counterparts to identify content synergies and efficiencies
  • Collaborate with the Sales team to strategize and execute all promotional activities and merchandising placement to support seasonal planning (new launches and re-promotes)
  • Implement best in class marketing plans with each retailer including but not limited to: CRM, E-mail Placement, Site Placement, Digital Media, Brand Pages and Social Strategy to maximize exposure, increase sentiment, and drive targeted reach to new and existing customers
  • Monitor Retailer.com business and individual accounts to achieve fiscal sales goals, monthly sales targets, and secure best in class initiatives
  • Host bi-weekly/weekly calls with each retailer to confirm product launch details, site updates, sample timing and issue detailed recaps to ensure clear and consistent communication
  • Routinely monitor the competitive landscape and share learnings cross functionally, feeding into weekly Competitive Snapshot
  • Develop and execute sampling strategy as well as create online specific offers to drive the business
  • Accountable for the execution of item setup and product page updates for all retailer sites
  • Create, prepare, and maintain dotcom marketing exposure tracker, launch calendars, and sampling plans
  • Partner with Channel Marketing team on Market Week presentations for US retailers
  • Oversee setup of retailer.com shade matching tools such as GlamLab, ColorIQ, Shade Finder
  • Manage implementation and QA of promotional plans for retail partners while analyzing the performance of online marketing/promotion
  • Partner with Digital Media to share insights across R.com and Retailer Coop Media to better understand retailer audiences and product performance, draw connections in online data to inform future strategies
  • Work with retail partners to obtain analytics on retailer programs as well as overall sales goals/strategies
  • Prepare and route weekly/monthly reporting retail sales/program successes based on metrics set at the onset of campaigns with internal team
  • Conduct final user testing and quality assurance processes on all new retailer pages, applications, e-mails, offers and new products to ensure accuracy, browser compatibility and high-quality user experience
  • Routinely lead QA for branded features on retailer sites for accuracy in all product data/images, product launches, marketing, and special merchandising pages.
  • Escalate issues or enhancements and suggest partner site improvements to retailer.com team and brand partners
  • Analyze business performance for each account regularly and identify new opportunities to gain market share

Qualifications & Competencies:

  • 3-5+ years of experience in the beauty, retailer, online marketing, or ecommerce space
  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing or related field required
  • Passion for beauty and/or ecommerce
  • Exceptional knowledge of retail business acumen, online marketing, and ecommerce best practices
  • Strong project management, presentation and business writing skills
  • Organization and prioritization with a proven ability to multi-task and manage complexity
  • Knowledge on current marketing trends, media industry news, entertainment/pop culture and retail innovation   
  • Beauty and wholesale experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to effectively communicate, collaborate and influence across groups
  • Highly proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Aptitude for working with Internet tools (i.e. web-based reports, databases and various multimedia technologies).
  • Understanding of website metrics, data analysis, and reporting tools
  • Detail-oriented and ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Deadline-driven; Strong organizational skills; Pro-active problem-solving abilities

$93,480 - $128,535/ year
