Manager, Global Visual Merchandising - Free Standing Stores/Specialty/Department Store (NARS)

Job Summary

The position is responsible for assisting the Director of Visual Merchandising in the design development and implementation of NARS visual merchandising in free-standing stores, department stores and specialty stores in alignment with brand strategic goals.

Job Duties
• Assist in leading the design development of on-counter units for assisted sale in Global channels (free-standing stores, department stores and specialty stores) to support new launches and re-promotes.
• Assist in leading the design of seasonal updates for the General Tester Unit for department stores, FSS and specialty stores.
• Partner with Global Marketing to develop displays to support product distortions and Retailer exclusive programs in assisted sale channels.
• Partner with Vendors & Shiseido Procurement to ensure all programs meet budget targets.
• Support the Regions on execution of Global merchandising programs and distortions.
• Partner with Designer, VM to develop shelving props and “always on” programs for global in-store use.

• Align with global and international marketing to understand the product calendar and the 360 launch plans.
• Partner with Global Marketing & Product Development to determine strategic placement of new products on merchandising units, shade layout and merchandising copy.
• Assist Director, VM in the conceptualization of the design to support new product launches in-store.
• Prepare and maintain planograms, DTO and renderings based on Global Marketing briefs and bulletins.
• Collaborate with Global Marketing to determine strategic placement of new products on merchandising units, shade layout and merchandising copy.
• Liaise with Procurement to approve engineering drawings, prototypes and first-off production pieces.
• Build a strong working knowledge of the global 2D creative and campaign assets for each season. Partner with the creative team to enhance on counter product presentation and storytelling.
• Collaborate with cross-functional global and regional teams to develop and implement visual merchandising programs.
• Present designs and concepts to Global Marketing and International Marketing teams for approval.
• Prepare artwork request when needed.
• Review and route all dielines to necessary teams.
• Liaise with Sr. Manager, VM to ensure all Global merchandising components are captured in cheat sheets.
• Support Sr. Manager to prepare VM Global guidelines department stores and FSS seasonally.
• Support Director, VM in preparing concepts for new product launches: prepare layouts, renderings and full
o scale mock-ups as required.
• Prepare assets, presentation and prototypes for VM workshops, Retailer presentations and Internal meetings.

• BS or BA in Design and/or Industrial Design.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in Visual Merchandising. Ideal candidate should have relevant experience in prestige beauty. International experience a plus.
• Must be analytical and detail oriented.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Must be able to problem solve and execute flawlessly. Strong knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to effectively convey ideas through 2D drawings and 3D renderings.
• Must be able to build collaborative relationships with cross-functional teams.
• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop, Sketch Up and Office suite. Vectorworks a plus.
