Job Description:

The Executive Director, Global Marketing is responsible for creating and implementing all Global Marketing initiatives for new launches and ongoing business on the Face and Skincare categories. This position will define and drive the category strategy with the VP of Global Marketing to create long term brand equity. They create new innovative products, methods, and modes of communication in the quickly evolving makeup market. This position is responsible for defining the vision and long term plan for the category and driving cross-functional collaboration to develop and implement cohesive global strategies for brand growth.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

Brand Strategy

  • Work on strategy of the brand and its statement in Face and skincare in the ever-changing environment today.
    • Develop the 3-5 year category plan
    • Analyze the brand's business to identify growth opportunities and need gaps
    • Brainstorm innovative product ideas with Product development
    • Puts emphasis on speed to market
    • Thinks digitally first in their execution of any project

New and Pillar Product Launch Process

  • Spearhead and manage Face and Skincare launches
    • Lead new product development process partnering with all cross- functional teams
    • Ensure consistent message across all internal documents (bulletins, marketing decks, retailer presentations…)
    • Analyze and manage product COGs to ensure favorable profitability to the brand
    • Create full 360 programs for each launch
    • Create animations for pillar product to create excitement each year and ensure growth
    • Manage reformulation, repackaging, and reworks to be phased in
    • Optimize production costs and process efficiency
    • Ensure the consistency of the products developed

Financial Accountability

Manage and control Global Marketing budget.

    • Detailed tracking and management of budget for market research, early needs, competitive product, and etc.
    • Is resourceful with the funds provided to maximize each program

Qualifications & Competencies:

  • College degree, 10+ years of work experience in beauty marketing
  • A passionate, creative thinker
  • Passionate about the beauty industry
  • Strong global business background
  • Proactive and anticipatory work ethic
  • Strong sense of the digital and social media landscape
  • An energetic team oriented individual with interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking skills, ability to structure presentations
  • Strong project management skills, structured, sense of respect of timeline

  • A strong sense of urgency, ability to manage details and projects while responding to changing priorities and feedback in a fast-paced environment
  • Leadership qualities to motivate and drive peer teams and they direct reports
  • Strong oral, written, communication and presentation skills. 
  • Must have strong presentation skills
  • Must have sophisticated visual PowerPoint presentation aesthetics
  • Software expertise – MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
