JOB SUMMARY

The Director of Marketing is responsible for managing the execution of and supporting all international, integrated marketing and merchandising programs for all relevant markets and channels with the key focus on broadening and raising consumer product and brand awareness that ultimately leads to customer acquisition.  This role is responsible for assisting with the campaign execution with cross-functional teams including Global Brand, Global Creative, and Global Product Development to help create a strong, cohesive, seamless brand experience across all touch points along the customer decision journey.

Examples of employed tactics include, but not limited to, advertising, promotions, digital marketing, events and experiential activities, sample activations, stunt marketing, integration, sponsorships, and partnerships.  Role requires following and supporting strategic planning and creative collaboration with Senior Vice President and all key market senior management. 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Translates global innovative and effective 360° marketing campaigns to local markets to launch new products or grow existing product businesses in international markets
  • Manages and refines International Marketing strategy to ensure development of plan capitalizes on opportunities, maximizes ROI and meets/exceeds current business goals
  • Leads execution of all campaign tactics by managing, organizing and collaborating with all cross-functional teams including but not limited to Creative, Global Brand, Merchandising/Sales, IT, Operations, Education, Legal and Finance
  • Writes creative briefs and manages outcome of deliverables
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with local agencies/vendors where appropriate
  • Oversee international home shopping associate marketing manager and collectively partner with global brand and local markets to align on strategy and ensure all deliverables are timely.
  • Ideate new programs and offerings for home shopping channels based on global innovation calendar and core priorities
  • Manages and reconciles all marketing budgets, ROI workbooks, and overall P&L impact
  • Creates and communicates campaign timelines and updates with cross-functional partners
  • Ensures proper collection and monitoring of data to assess ongoing performance and KPI tracking
  • Analyzes post-campaign performance and assesses learnings to report ROI and direct future campaign planning
  • Researches and evaluates new and innovative marketing tactics in order to persuade senior management to adopt marketing plans and secure budget for execution
  • Provides analysis on ROI of International campaigns and projects in order to direct future guidance in planning and resource allocation
  • Circulate learnings to better educate and inform cross-functional partners and senior management
  • Review and approve all assortment, VM and in store proposals in collaboration with key markets to ensure consistent branding in line with global brand.

Liase with key markets on all pricing, launch updates, competitive benchmarking, and share all learnings with cross functional partners on a monthly basis.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA strongly preferred
  • 10+ years of relevant experience developing and executing multimedia, multifaceted marketing campaigns and product launch strategies internationally
  • Ability to identify and target new market segments
  • 5+ years of experience working in beauty, fashion, retail or CPG
  • Passion for media, advertising, retail and international pop culture
  • Knowledge on current advertising and marketing trends, media industry news, consumer behavior reports, entertainment/pop culture and retail innovation in order to understand how best to market to our target consumer 
  • Must be willing and able to travel internationally
