Job Description

The Director, Global Marketing – Complexion and Skincare, reporting into the VP of Global Marketing, is responsible for leading the global category strategy for the complexion and skincare portfolio. They will lead development of the innovation calendar in this category with product development to meet the brand strategy and growth targets. They will drive the conceptualization of globally relevant digital first 360 launch plans with cross functional teams and develop ongoing strategy for top core franchises. They will utilize consumer research, CRM data and industry insight to drive insights and partner closely with International, Asia and Travel Retail teams to fuel growth in the Asia market with a focus on China. 

Essential Job Duties

New/Core Launch Development & Management

  • Directly manage Complexion and Skincare launches in the calendar. Position will be in charge of developing the 3-year global strategy in the complexion category.
  • Manage project for upfront new launch planning according to new process in collaboration with the Project Management team and the VP of Global Marketing
    • Organize new product launch cross- functional meeting
    • Assess global financial implications of discontinuations and support seasonal discontinuation plan for complexion and skincare
    • Project launch volume for new launches and global MOB
    • Create key launch documents (Launch strategy decks, Forecasting decks, Launch feedback report)
    • Ensure consistent message across all internal documents (bulletins, marketing decks, retailer presentation)
    • Responsible for creation of briefs (merchandising briefs, photo briefs, how to briefs, films briefs, campaign briefs)
    • Drive digital first asset development in partnership with Global Digital, Global E-Commerce/CRM and Creative team utilizing media best practices for meaningful ROA

Brand Communications

  • Support development of decks for
    • Strategic planning, mid-term plan
    • Budget presentations
    • Marketing Business presentations
    • Ad Hoc Marketing presentations

Budgeting

  • Develops yearly budget with VP of Global marketing for all launches
  • Manages communication with Film and Photography team on key budget parameters

Qualifications

  • College degree, 8+ years of work experience in marketing or consulting.
  • A passionate, energetic team oriented individual with interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking skills, ability to structure presentations
  • Passionate about digital and continuously learning about new platforms
  • Strong project management skills, structured, sense of respect of timeline
  • Attention to details, ability to work independently, reliable
  • A strong sense of urgency, ability to manage details and projects while responding to changing priorities and feedback.
  • Strong oral, written, communication and presentation skills. 
  • Software expertise – MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
