Associate Manager, Marketing (Hermes)

Location: New York, New York Brand: Shiseido Date: 01/09/2020

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for helping to manage the luxury fragrance & beaute brand, Hermès, in the US market.

This position contributes to the achievement of gross & retail sales for the brand via the annual business plan development, marketing strategies, seasonal programming and day to day management. 

This role will have the additional responsibility to help launch & build a new métier, color, with excellence in the US market.

Below are the key role and responsibilities of the position:

1/ Marketing:

Trade Marketing

  • Help develop, with Manager, yearly marketing trade plansand brand strategies to optimize brand growth in market and align to the brand’s guidelines & image.
  • Prepare TMC, 360 launch plans & Marketing calendars.  Update monthly
  • Manage finance tracker that aligns to trade Plan/ budgets and liaise with Finance monthly
  • Create and enter PO’s in SAP
  • Management of co-ad & scented programs including preparing brief to HQ for artwork & oil, artwork review and approval with HQ, & communication with sales
  • Create POP calendar. Internal tool
  • Manage Special Events planning with cross-functional team
    • Facilitate special events from conceptual to execution
    • Source product for events if needed
    • Prepare event write up
    • Communicate event write up to the Event team for implementation
  • Create monthly trade newsletter to update field on brand programming, updates and seasonal VM schematics
  • Order gratis for key retailer meetings & marketing closet
  • Update bi-annual order forms & SRP increases 

Marketing Presentations

  • Create retailer & internal sales conference presentations
  • Room setup for retailer presentation
  • Coordinate organization and needs for the sales conference

2/ Forecasting and Sales

Forecasting

  • Manage seasonal forecast of Saleable/POSM (new and catalog) with manager and cross functional teams (Sales ops, Demand Planning, Sales, Digital, Training & Education
  • Liaise with Planning/Demand team to work on forecast for Saleable/POSM to enter into Mercure appropriately
  • Track POSM receipt in our warehouse vs order
  • Create POSM board once final quantities are agreed with HQ
  • Communicate with Sales Ops on proper allocation of POSM tools to accounts and follow up on shipment
  • Create item & material codes and enter all new skus & pricing into SAP
  • Track POSM & salable excess

Sales and activity report

  • Assist manager with preparation of annual business review deck and sales analytics
  • Participation in key strategy meetings, including preparation and delivery of brand plans
  • Analyze business impact and effectiveness of all marketing programs / activity
  • Create & gather sales performance reports including analysis of new launches, visual weeks, in store events as needed.
  • Prepare launch and animation report using HQ template.

3/ Additional Responsibilities

  • Visit NY flagships monthly for assessment of in store execution & competitive activity
  • Prepare meeting coordination for Quarterly HQ visit
  • Weekly Status tracker with HQ
  • Special Projects as needed
