Associate Manager, Global Social Media (Laura Mercier)

The Associate Manager, Global Social Media is responsible for supporting and executing the global social strategy for Laura Mercier whilst also being responsible for Laura Mercier community management.

This individual will work closely with the Executive Director and Senior Manager to execute meaningful social campaigns that both effectively positions the brand and supports the business objectives of the organization.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Support the management of the global social content strategy, inclusive of all owned platforms with a strong focus on Instagram, TikTok and YouTube.
  • Responsible for the Laura Mercier community management across all social channels including posting, captions, responding and monitoring.
  • Responsible for content calendar strategy and briefing social assets, partnering with Global Marketing, Creative and agencies to align and work on the development of social-first assets.
  • Responsible for all product requirements for shoots and influencer led content, ordering and ensuring timely delivery.
  • Identify, build and manage relationships with best-in-class content creators – agencies, photographers/videographers, influencers, etc. to develop social-exclusive assets that further drive brand storytelling and consumer engagement.
  • Work with the senior department management to build social campaign strategies for launches in partnership with cross-functional teams (Global Communications, Global Marketing, US Marketing, Ecommerce, Creative).
  • Evolve guidelines and oversee opportunities for Global social participation by markets and artists.
  • Review and gain approval for the monthly content calendars for secondary global social platforms (e.g. Facebook + Twitter).
  • Oversee the development of monthly and ad hoc digital reporting, understanding various reporting programs and ability to draw insights from the platforms.
  • Special projects as assigned. 

Working Relationships/Key Stakeholders:

  • Partner with key cross-functional teams including Global Marketing, US Marketing, Creative, E-Commerce and Global Communications to ensure seamless execution of Global Social content strategy and activations

Qualifications & Competencies:

  • BS/BA required
  • 3-4 Years of social media and community management, editorial or content creation experience, preferably in a beauty, fashion or luxury lifestyle environment
  • Good communication skills with regards to tone of voice and copy writing.
  • Ability to respond to the demands of social – posting or scheduling across the weekend and outside of work hours and monitoring sentiment.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities and delegate efficiently
  • Proactive and self-sufficient with the ability to manage up and across
  • A creative problem solver, who thrives in fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail, adept in creative problem-solving - resourceful and proactive
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills - a self-described “people-person,” comfortable speaking with all levels of an organization
  • Collaborative, positive and demonstrates a high level of maturity and presence
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, and Excel
