Job Description

The role of the Associate Manager, Global Marketing Gifting will play a critical role in supporting Global Marketing Gifting and Specialty initiatives for new launches and ongoing business. This position is responsible for leading the development of launch strategies, as well as driving cross-functional collaboration with Product Development, Packaging, Creative, Merchandising, Education, and Communication in the development and implementation of cohesive global strategies. The Global Marketing Team acts to drive profitability, share and volume growth as the brand champions within their respective category.

Key Accountabilities

  • Serve as category expert through ongoing analysis, consumer insights, industry trends, and knowledge of category dynamics and competition.
  • Partners closely with Product Development to optimize new product innovations, concepts, and assortment/retailer need gaps that resonates with consumer target.
  • Manage strong partnerships with cross-functional partners including Creative, Copy, Visual Merchandising, PR, Education.
  • Responsible for working with planning team and regions on forecasting guidance, and recommending assortments for each new launch.
  • Prepare project kickoff briefs for new product development, copy & creative briefs for naming and packaging and campaign briefs for global marketing assets to support launch across all regions.
  • Track and share best practices, competitive insights with regional and global teams.
  • Prepare presentation decks to support strategic planning and retailer presentations. 
  • Measures success of programs via post mortem analysis.
  • Manage retailer exclusive programs, direct to consumer programs, fast track launches and accessories/tools, as well as supporting the launch of the Holiday program.

Job Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree, 2-3 years of work experience in marketing, preferably cosmetics.
  • A passionate, energetic team-oriented individual with strong project management, analytical, interpersonal, creative and leadership skills.
  • Strong oral, written, communication and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of competitive marketplace.
  • A strong sense of urgency, ability to manage details and projects while responding to changing priorities and feedback.
  • Ability to balance quantitative analytics with marketing creativity.
  • Strong work ethic with a strong efficiency orientation.
  • Must be organized, detail oriented, resourceful, and able to juggle multiple projects at once. 
  • Ability to work both independently and with cross-functional teams in a fast moving/changing environment.
  • Ability to build, foster, and nurture strong relationships and gain the trust and respect of cross-functional teams stakeholders.
