Analyst, Compensation

Job Summary:

The Compensation Analyst will work directly with the Director of Compensation & Payroll in all compensation analysis including job documentation, analysis, market pricing, and wage and hour laws. The focus is on US Domestic Compensation with some International Compensation exposure.  This position will collaborate with the HR Leaders and have regular interaction with all levels of management within our organization.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for job analysis, job evaluation, and maintenance of job descriptions

  • Determines appropriate exemption assignment and pay according to the FLSA regulations

  • Research market data to analyze competitiveness of compensation practices, and makes recommendations to management

  • Participates in the development and implementation of salary administration policies and guidelines

  • Reviews proposed salary actions to ensure conformance with established guidelines as per Hay grades and policies

  • Prepares reports and extensive analysis of compensation data

  • Researches, analyzes, and understands various federal and state regulations to ensure compliance in compensation programs and policies

  • Functions as a technical expert in area of compensation interpreting information and providing professional advice and counseling

  • Manage incentive program payouts

  • Assist with administration of Merit and Bonus cycles on an annual basis along with providing support for Mid-Year updates

  • Generate daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual Compensation and headcount reports

  • Prepare input for compensation surveys

  • Participate in salary surveys & roundtable conversations provided by external vendors

  • Assist Director of Compensation & Payroll on varies projects
  • Maintain salary data in SAP (SuccessFactors)


  • Bachelor’s Degree or related field experience in lieu of degree

  • 3-5 years of experience

  • Excellent MS office Skills, Advanced level Excel Skills 

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as excellent customer service skills

  • Creative problem solver and self-starter

  • Maintain discretion and confidentiality when working with sensitive information
