Job Title:   QA Specialist, Regional

Job Summary:

Provides regional QA support for all sites within Shiseido Americas (SAI, ADC and External Operations group). Create and review regional procedures aligned with corporate HQ and establishment at site level. Work with HQ members to align on practices and implement in the US Region.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

This position supports and assists in all aspects of the Quality System at the Regional level for SAI, Contract Manufacturing and ADC.

Responsible for formalizing quality procedures and documentation to support SAP implementation, supporting continuous improvements in performance metrics for the department, assisting with Quality Improvement Project implementation and reduction of consumer complaints.  Utilizes expertise and knowledge of quality principles and tools to promote quality program strategies throughout the regional facilities.  Assists in the implementation of quality improvements and quality tracking reports as determined by the VP of Quality.   

Creation of quality procedures and documentation, assist in procedures needed for SAP implementation

Assists in investigation, analysis of consumer complaints for all the Shiseido Americas brands across the North American region. Drives implementation of corrective actions, leading to the quality system improvements. Provide monthly, quarterly, and yearly regional report to Corporate Head office and Shiseido Americas brand leads

Establish regional procedures and processes and support the implementation at site level

Support the sites within the region as deemed necessary, i.e. quality project management, trouble shooting

Working Relationships/Key Stakeholders:

Solid and cooperative working relationships with factory QA, distribution center teams, contract manufacturing quality team, packaging and AIC teams.

Close communication and working relationship with corporate HQ, AIC and Packaging

Qualifications & Competencies:

Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Chemistry or Engineering preferred

1-2 years of experience in Quality department (Cosmetics industry preferred) with demonstrated ability to problem solving, procedure creation, driving improvements of the quality system.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business documentation, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from various groups of co-workers.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Expert in Excel and PowerPoint presentation.
