Job Title:  Mechanic, Facility Maintenance

Job Summary: 

Schedule: Tuesday – Saturday, 2PM – 10PM

Performs preventive maintenance, corrective repairs, and operating / monitoring for all site facility & utility equipment and systems, including, but not limited to boilers, air handling units, DI/RO water systems, chillers, air handling units, piping, vacuum, pneumatics, wastewater treatment plant, electrical & air compressors.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Performs facilities installations, preventive maintenance, and repairs to all Shiseido facilities / utilities equipment systems. All  work to be performed according to standard work instructions & completed in conformance with Shiseido safety principles
  • Utilize skills and materials to achieve facilities maintenance objectives; exchange timely information with Facilities Supervisor/Manager pertaining to job progress.
  • Communicates with Plant customers (departments representatives) as necessary to ensure all standard operating procedures (SOP), good manufacturing practices (GMP) and current good manufacturing practices (CGMP) procedures are followed correctly.
  • Creates and enters completed Work Order’s into the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) program.
  • Receives directions and assignments from Facilities Supervisor/Manager

Qualifications & Competencies: 

  • Minimum of 5 years’ prior experience in a cosmetic, fragrance, or pharmaceutical production/manufacturing environment.                
  • Operated a BMS software solution, Carrier i-Vu preferred. 
  • Possess skills and experience to operate and maintain facilities equipment.
  • Experience in operating equipment & tools including, but not limited to welders, pipe sweating, soldering, HVAC testing, charging, and evacuation
  • Possess computer skills to include: MS Excel, Minimum
  • Time management skills, Able to effectively manage time including work schedules, events, programs and other activities with minimal supervision & ensure high quality, craftsmanship work
  • Possess the ability to communicate information and ideas effectively.
  • Possess skills and experience to operate and maintain  facilities equipment.
  • Has accomplished skills in troubleshooting and repairs to/of chillers, air handlers, building automation systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, PLC's, vacuum systems, electrometrical systems.
  • Maintains technical knowledge
  • English qualified verbal and written.          
  • High school diploma, general education degree (GED), and/or trade school certification.
  • High Pressure Black Seal Boiler license preferred or willingness to acquire certification within 6 months of hire.
  • Wastewater N1 or higher, license preferred or willingness to acquire certification within 12 months of hire.           
  • CFC Universal Refrigerant License and HVAC Certification, a plus
  • Ability to read and write English

This mechanic is occasionally required to stand, reach with hands and arms, talk or hear, walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision. These physical demands are required when checking production pass tickets on finished goods cartons.
