Compounder II - 2nd shift

Job Summary:

Perform necessary tasks in the pre-weigh of raw materials, the manufacturing and processing of bulk, and the cleaning/sanitizing of equipment

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for pre-weighing all chemicals that are required in batches.
  • Responsible for completing batches in a safe timely manner with passing quality specifications.
  • Weighs, mixes, and heats materials in accordance with procedures and instructions per a given formula so that finished product will meet customer requirements.
  • Produce bulk with use of a multiple phase batch making process.
  • Record all production data on batch records inclusive of raw materials used, quantities and time intervals.
  • Demonstrate ability to perform tasks efficiently and accurately
  • Understanding of process flow charts and ability to recognize discrepancies and conflicts
  • Must be able to visually inspect, detect, and correct any problems with the product
  • Able to efficiently manage change throughout the work day 
  • Identifies any equipment issues and reports to management
  • Proper material transfer to proper kettle/mixer
  • Cleaning and sanitizing of equipment before or after manufacture
  • Proper operation of all the equipment in all work centers
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Working Relationships/Key Stakeholders:

  • Responsible for equipment and work area cleanliness and equipment adjustments and replacements.
  • Collect product samples and prepare them for laboratory analysis and testing.
  • Clean and Sanitize compounding vessels per SOP’s.
  • Follow all cGMP and written procedures.
  • Operates pallet jacks, forklifts

Financial Accountability

  • Maintain Accurate inventory through Preweighing and dispensing activities
  • Proper disposal of product waste

Qualifications & Competencies:

  • Minimum 2 years working in a manufacturing environment
  • Understanding of GMP, OSHA safety regulations
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to perform tasks carefully, accurately and efficiently in accordance with specific instructions and in compliance with quality and safety standards.
  • Effective time management skills, good math skills, mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to reach, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Demonstrates attention to detail
  • Capable of using computers
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong listening skills
  • Must have ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing
  • Must be able to use all protective and safety equipment
  • Ability to follow through on assignments and complete in a timely and competent manner.
