Junior Color Technician (MatchCo)

We are seeking a full-time, highly motivated Laboratory Technician (Color Development) to support Development and QC processes at our Palo Alto offices. The ideal candidate will be able to take on the Key Responsibilities listed below. He/she will also possess all the Minimum Qualifications and Experience below, and most of the Preferred Qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:
Follow data collection SOPs to collect, record, compile, and report results effectively
Work closely with models for cosmetic application and color-data collection
Compile color data in Excel by following established protocols
Recruit and manage scheduling of local models
Work directly with models to evaluate cosmetic product color match
Operate high-end color measurement devices and photography and lighting equipment
Catalog and inventory extensive sets of raw ingredients and finished test samples
Responsible for basic operation, cleaning and ongoing maintenance of laboratory tools and equipment using established procedures and calendars
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
Ability to follow standard operating procedures in a laboratory environment, with attention to detail in all measurements, calculations, equipment settings, and quality control
Bachelor’s degree in science or art with demonstrable experience in both fields
Cosmetic industry or makeup artistry experience highly preferred
Demonstrate safe working practices including wearing appropriate PPE
Ability to collaborate with team members and possess efficient problem-solving skills
Perform multiple tasks simultaneously with accuracy and thoroughness despite time pressures
