Associate Research Scientist (MatchCo)

We are seeking a full-time, highly motivated Associate Research Scientist to support Product Development and QC processes at our Palo Alto offices.

Key Responsibilities:

??Perform laboratory experiments and line trials for the development of novel manufacturing systems

??Work with and support multi-disciplinary team to research and develop new products, including mass customization equipment and systems and point of sale dispensing systems

??Organize and catalog extensive sets of raw ingredients, parts, and test samples

??Prepare technical reports and summaries

??Use highly technical spectrophotometery equipment to collect data

??Responsible for cleaning and ongoing maintenance of laboratory tools and equipment using established procedures and calendars

??Analyze datasets and summarize results

??Bluesky development of product concepts

??Ongoing development of new color products and novel manufacturing systems

??Understand regulatory requirements

??Keep accurate records of batches and stability results

??Troubleshoot scale-up issues

??Support communication and regulatory documents with internal and external teams  involved in development, audits, testing, etc.

Qualifications & Competencies: 

??Bachelor???s degree in science or engineering-related field and 3+ years of relevant professional experience

??Ability to follow standard operating procedures in a laboratory environment with attention to detail in all measurements, calculations, equipment settings, and quality control

??Experience with Excel and PowerPoint highly desired

??Cosmetic industry experience highly preferred

??Demonstrate safe working practices including wearing appropriate PPE

??Ability to collaborate with team members and possess efficient problem-solving skills

??Perform multiple tasks simultaneously with accuracy and thoroughness despite time pressures

??Excellent communications (written and verbal) and time management skills required
